Reposting for the nightshift Jalops
My buddy an I are going down to Richmond to take the National Service Rifle Match Course. The course is all day Saturday and Sunday, 8 to 5, but we will be in Richmond Saturday evening. I already got some good recommendations this morning for restaurants and bars to visit, but I'm wondering if anyone else has any ideas?
Thanks, and here's a Ferrari 250 LM for your time.

I don't know if he mountain bikes, but my buddy who lives there says there are some fun trails on the island in the James. I forget what it's called.

Don't speed.

Downtown Richmond has some 120 bars/pubs/restaurants . Youll find something. Parking is a bitch though. And things get dicey around VCU, if you don't want to deal with the raucous college crowd.

From there, but haven't actively lived there in years.
Richmond has lots of great places, here are some of my favs:
Mama Zu's for Italian
Nacho Mamas for Mexican
Bottoms Up for Pizza
Galaxy Diner for that kind of thing
Havana 59 is good (cuban as you would guess).
Capital Ale house for brew

He does, I don't though. I have an old Schwin 21 speed mountain bike but only like 8 speeds work (I don't even know how that's possible, but seriously, its messed up) . Anyways, were going to be busy during the day on Saturday and Sunday, so that only leaves us Saturday night, and somehow mountain biking at night doesn't seem like the best plan.

Thanks for the reminder. I've been living in (northern) VA for 6 years now, so I'm quite aware that they take it seriously.

Thanks for the heads up on parking. We'll probably stay away from VCU, we're too old and lame to party with the college kids. Just looking for a nice bar or pub or some place to hang out and grab a few beers.

Awesome, thank you for all the recommendations, I'll add them to my list. Havana 59 sounds good, I do love me some Cuban food.
